Beginning in the 1920s, mechanical Teddy bears became extremely popular with toy buyers around the globe. Steiff’s own mechanical creations are some of the most desirable vintage collectibles today. But for whatever reason, Steiff never made a Yes-No bear, a Teddy bear that turns its head either up and down or right and left when its tail is turned. As the second piece in the debut collection of the "European Collectors" series, Steiff is pleased to present the first-ever Yes-No Teddy bear. Made from vintage blond, slightly curly mohair, this Teddy bear features a sturdy brass and steel inner mechanism for years of providing years of honest yes or no answers to your most important questions. "CI" stands for "Corporate Identity," so the little elephant is made from wool felt in cream white and black, the new official company colours of Margarete Steiff GmbH. The piece also features a felt saddle embroidered with 1847, the birth year of Margarete Steiff.
