Utrecht, 06-28-2005 / 16:14 hours: as a playful action in the "Week of the Service” the NS Dutch State Railways invented the so-called “Princess Alexia Express". This train was released soon after the announcement of the name of the second daughter of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima, born on Sunday 26 June 2005, taking small Orange stickers. During the first journey (of Zwolle to the Hague) also in the presence of the press there was a hand-out of free soda and “beschuit met muisjes” (zwieback toast with sugar beans; a typical Dutch treat to celebrate a birth). On the detail photo’s one can clearly see an orange sticker of a Royal Crown with accompanying text "Princess Alexia Express", mounted 24 times all over the Royal Koploper. Utrecht, 28-06-2005, 16:14 uur: Als ludieke aktie in de "week van de service" bedacht NS de zogenaamde "Prinses Alexia Express". Dit treinstel werd vrij snel na het bekend worden van de naam van de tweede dochter van kroonprins Willem-Alexander en prinses Máxima, geboren op zondag 26 juni 2005, ingezet met kleine oranje bestickering. Tijdens de eerste rit (van Zwolle naar Den Haag) werd in het bijzijn van de meerijdende pers gratis beschuit met muisjes en frisdrank uitgedeeld.
Op de foto is in oranje duidelijk een sticker zichtbaar van een kroontje met begeleidende tekst "Prinses Alexia Express" welke op 24 plaatsen op deze Koninklijke Koploper is bevestigd. (Tekst © www.spionkop.nl)
