These are just a few of the words that describe the magnificent Four Seasons “Fall” and “Spring” bears produced by Steiff in collaboration with Lladró, the renowned Spanish porcelain manufacturer. Now, we are pleased to present “Summer,” next in the hugely popular series. Lovingly hand-stitched in Germany from light rose-colored mohair, “Summer” continues the flowers theme with an intricate tiara of summertime blossoms.

Each bloom was meticulously handmade and delicately painted by the artisans at Lladró. In addition to his gold-plated “Button in Ear” and red and white ear tag, “Summer” also proudly displays a Lladró label on his right foot pad. These distinguished trademarks are fitting symbols of the partnership between these two legendary companies – each known for its impeccably high standards, expert workmanship, and lasting value.

Prototype: 3 German Federal Railroad (DB) type Sm 24 interchangeable design flat cars. The flat cars are loaded with a MAN 450 truck, a MAN F8 truck, and a Magirus curved hood truck with a panel body.

Model: The 3 flat cars have a long wheelbase, truss rods, and removable stakes. The cars have different car numbers. The vehicles come in authentic emergency aid paint schemes. The flat cars with their loads come individually packaged and marked. Total length over the buffers 47.6 cm / 18-3/4". DC wheel set 6 x 700580.

Prototype: Rastatt design refrigerator car. Privately owned car, used on the German Federal Railroad (DB). The car looks as it did around 1959. Krupp Mustang truck with a two-axle trailer and a box body.

Model: The refrigerator car is painted and lettered for the firm WMF, Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik / Württemberg Metal Products Company, Geislingen/Steige, Germany, with historic product themes. Length over the buffers 13.9 cm / 5-1/2". The truck model with a trailer is a combination of metal and plastic. It is painted and lettered as a plant truck for the firm, Geislingen/Steige. Length of the truck with trailer 17 cm / 6-11/16". DC wheel set 2 x 700580.

Prototype: 4 different German State Railroad Company (DRG) express train passenger cars. 1 DRP type Post4-a/15 mail car, 1 type AB4ü-23a "Hecht" / "Pike" compartment car, 1st/2nd class, 1 type WR6ü MITROPA dining car, and 1 type C4ü Bay 08 coach, 3rd class. Train composition for the express train D 119 Munich – Cologne, around 1931.

Model: The cars are highly detailed. All of the cars have interior details and close couplers with guide mechanisms. The dining car has built-in interior lighting. Total length over the buffers 88.5 cm / 34-7/8".

An authentic train composition for an historic express train.

The DRG class 18.1 express locomotive with a tender, available in the Märklin H0 assortment under item no. 37116, is the right motive power for express train D 119.
