This design is dictated by the function of a candlestick, namely to hold a candle firm. Replacing the candle in a candlestick often leads to irritation. The candle does not fit or the stump of old candle is impossible to remove.
This candlestick can open and close. It can be opened by squeezing the ends of the two stainless-steel sections together, allowing the candle to be changed.

A little more would be unnecessary, a little less would be impossible. – this sentence sums up the character of the Delft candlesticks designed by Bruno Ninaber van Eyben.The trick: Delft comes with a straightforward clamping mechanism which only requires a simple flick of the wrist. It holds conventional table candles of different diameters securely in place! Delft was awarded the Form Design Award.
