The Slim Grandchild was first made by Käthe Kruse for the 40th Jubilee of the Käthe Kruse Studios. The doll was inspired by her own grandchildren.

The slim body stands 47 cm / 18 inches tall and is hand-stuffed with reindeer hair. The Doll VIII head is made of polystyrol and hand-painted with fine detail. The eyes look slightly to the side. Alma wears her real human hair in a romantic style. Her dress is made in the classic Dirndl style and with a pink apron. She also wears a knitted stole, white stockings and leather shoes. "Let's go to the Octoberfest!" Alma was limited to only 100 dolls worldwide.
