When Margarete Steiff founded her plush toy company in 1880, the first toy she sold from her factory was a little elephant. In the anniversary year of 2020, Steiff is celebrating 140 years of the collection. All its representatives wear the special little elephant logo “140 Years of Steiff”. The elephant is 22 cm / 8.8 inches tall and made of the finest grey mohair. The corners of the eyes and the inner ears are produced using complex airbrushing. As well as the tail. The soles are made of velvet soft felt. The attractive saddlecloth on its back is a special decorative touch. It is edged with trim and decorated with a pompom.
