Second of the Aviation Teddy bear Series!
A Teddy bear to fly away with!
This little pilot with his elegant silk scarf and an Air Steiff Logo invites you to board his flight into Teddy bear land. Your seat is reserved in the Teddy bear class on the Goldfish Plane, also called "Rackerplan" by its creator, aviation enthusiast Richard Steiff.
The original "Rackerplan" was designed as an item on moving wheels but was never commercially produced.
The exeptional prototype with a span of 58 cm / 23.5 inch can be admired today in "Die Welt von Steiff" adventure museum.
The series of aviator Teddy bears pays tribute to the passion for flying of the inventor Richard Steiff and was launched last year by a Teddy with the Roloplan Kite.
This year's Teddy is holding the "Rackerplan" plane dating from 1928 in his paws. Like the unique original, the miniature "Rackerplan" has an undercarriage made of metal and the famous Steiff "Button in Ear" serves to attach the propeller.
So now he is ready for take-off with the Teddy bear pilot at the controls ... the Sky is the Limit!
