The original „Fabulously-Colored Four” were sent as samples to England in 1908. Four were never seen again: pink, yellow, green and black. They were stuffed with wood shavings and made of finest mohair which allows the light-colored cotton backing to show through slightly which gives these beautiful replicas their majestic yet nonetheless friendly appearance. The little noses are horizontally embroidered and sealed with wax and they “bear” the gold-plated Steiff “Button in Ear” as well as the black and white tag. These extraordinary Teddy bears that are limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide look friendly and curiously at the world with their warm boot-button eyes and know how to use their strong growler to get attention when they meet a real Steiff friend!
