History itself often writes its own wonderful stories. This anecdote takes place in the Valois-Burgundy region where the common roots of today’s BeNeLux countries are also found. The charming Teddy bear made of tipped mohair in 1920s design relates the story of how a Steiff “Happy Teddy bear” was recently discovered in a toy chest at an estate in Flanders. This bear with the large silk bow held out patiently for many years in the little owner’s toy chest – and now it can finally tell the stories from the eventful life of a Teddy bear.
