On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his death, the enchanting Haydn Teddy bear by Steiff made of long, shiny golden blond mohair with a lace collar loves to tell stories from the Austrian composer’s life: of his close friendship with Mozart or of his piano student, Beethoven. This bear is only too pleased to play the “Kaiserhymne” (the Imperial Anthem) composed in 1797 with its wind up music box. Then he looks proudly at the soft soles of his feet that are embroidered in gold-coloured thread with the musical notes of the Imperial Anthem, Haydn’s signature and the year dates of Haydn’s life.
