In 1908, Paul Steiff succeeded in giving the popular Steiff Teddy a voice, although this had long been thought impossible.

At the Leipzig Toy Fair, he presented the very first Teddy bear with a growler!
It produced a strong and sonorous growl when tilted and bent forward. So Steiff's lovable Teddy bears have now been conversing with their proud owners for over one hundred years!

Made of the finest brass coloured sparse mohair which has been deliberately dispersed to archive a "much-loved" look, Gregory carries with him his very own growler voice-box of which he is extremely proud of!
