Before Käthe Kruse became one of the most famous doll makers of the world, she had a carreer as an actress. To commemorate Käthe Kruse's acting career, the Käthe Kruse dolls dressed up and formed a theatre group.

Jules, the director, is dressed in a smart velvet top hat and tails. The Doll VIII stands 52 cm / 21 inches tall. The body is hand-stuffed with reindeer hair and the polystyrol head is hand-painted with fine detail. Jules is a flamboyant character who wears his shoulder-length real brown hair in a pony tail. To complete his outfit he wears a white shirt, golden necktie and blue leather shoes. "Curtain please!" Jules was limited to only 100 dolls worldwide.
